On November 8, 2021, the Ivan Bohun Kyiv Military Lyceum hosted the “Ukrainian Saber Fight” open Horting fencing tournament among adult men and women (18 years and older) in the “Sabre Duel” fencing section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournament was timed to the Day of the Ivan Bohun Kyiv Military Lyceum and took place with the personal support of the head of the lyceum, Hero of Ukraine, General Ihor Hordiychuk, who opened the event and addressed the guests of the tournament and lyceums about the need to revive national historical martial traditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this event: the development and popularization of Horting fencing in Ukraine, the spread of modern Ukrainian sports and martial arts, raising the level of national-patriotic culture and consciousness of Ukrainian citizens, promotion of a healthy lifestyle and national sports and martial arts among lyceum students. In the future, after the end of the war in Ukraine, this Tournament is planned to be made annual and turned into the Bohun Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
